Hi there.
Please don't use my images in any way, anywhere, for any purpose, without obtaining my permission first.
All of my photographs are Copyright Held By William A. Lemieux, All Rights Reserved. (All of the images in my Flickr pages are my own works unless specifically anotated otherwise)
PHOTOGRAPHY:
I've had photography as a hobby since high school (1976), as has my wife, Saint_Jude. In 2005, we bought a somewhat mediocre (but affordable) digital camera, the Olympus C-740.
Since we were both accustomed to film, finally getting to play with digital was an eye-opening experience.
Since then, we've both bought dSLRs, which have removed a lot of the limitations imposed by the smaller sensor and lens of the P&S.
I will photograph anything that looks interesting, although I am still getting comfortable with portraiture.
PERSONAL:
I'm a founding member of the Denver Mad Scientists Club (responsible for The Critter Crunch, the original fighting robots competition started in 1986) and I'm active in a variety of other subcultures, social groups and informal "clubs".
During my working life, I have been: a dishwasher, a cook, an AV equipment repairman, a computer & telecommunications technician for the Air Force; a locksmith, a burglar alarm installer, a gun & sporting goods salesman, a camera salesman, an automotive repossessor (ugh), an environmental test technician for a planetary exploration spacecraft program, a professional mad scientist, a computer systems integrator, electronics engineering technician, a manufacturing engineer, an artist, and an informal educator.
Some of my many interests include education, craftsmanship, Durable Goods, extropianism, hacking the human machine, hedonism of all sorts, and irresponsible engineering disguised as art.
In terms of cultures and tribes, I have been a part of the Colorado gothic, underground music, science fiction fandom, and BDSM, & fetish communities, although in recent years I've become more interested in spending my time and money on my home, art, and hobbies.
I'm a nerd, a polymathwannabe, a genius-fanboi, and a militant atheist.
I live in Denver, Colorado with my partner Judy, and our cats Ravyn & Merlyn.
I currently make my living making and selling art, body play toys, bondage equipment, furniture, and high quality home furnishings.
