Although I was always fascinated by the art of photography, I only took my skills to the next level after changing the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands for that of Brooklyn, NY. When I saw the exceptional hairstyles at the BAM festival in 03, I just had to capture them.

Not only was I mesmerized by the beauty of the styles, I realized that it was the first time in my life that I saw a world where Black natural hair was prevalent rather than an exception.

Still today I take pictures of natural hairstyles and display them on my website going-natural.com to reveal and share the ongoing experience.
