I am an avid amateur digital photographer, and enjoy snapping photos of the city I live in, Washington, D.C. I studied urban planning in college, and remain fascinated by architecture and life in cities. My photos are mostly architecture but I love photographing people too, except when you're doing that with a camera phone it can be intrusive, so there aren't a lot of candids in my work. I'd like to create more. I usually digitally enhance my photos before uploading to Flickr. And lately I've gotten into digital manipulation of my images, but if what you see in the image isn't there in real life (spaceships, anyone), then if it is not obvious, it is disclosed by me as being an edit. In DC there are so many beautiful buildings and monuments, but these become run of the mill, so I like finding interesting photos in unusual places, like the random grimy subway tunnel below. Hopefully you find my photos pretty and some whimsical and hopefully if I'm lucky then I've surprised you as well.
