I'm a born-again photographer - after having left the intensely pleasurable but equally intensely expensive world of 35mm SLR film photography behind decades ago, I have been drawn back into SLR photography, although this time it's of the digital type. Always a minimalist at heart, the Christmas gift from someone close of the then new Nikon D40 was irresistable, even to an Olympus lover like I am.

I'm just figuring out this new world, and it will be some time before my cobweb-infested brain can balance the plusses and minuses of the new format and tools. Some basic competence will follow after a few thousand more shots ... I hope!

Some material I've uploaded is just "quickie snapshot", getting-to-know-the-camera shots, whilst others (very, very few!) are the product of some deliberation!

My subject matter, intended to be shared with various "interested parties", is intended to offend nobody through its content or technical shortcomings, but instead simply expresses my astigmatic view of things that drift in and out of my viewfinder, with a hope that the idea (or story or subject itself) brings some enjoyment to the viewer.

I'm always curious and interested in other people's ideas about my photographs, and other photographer's work, but it's still only a hobby to me for now, nothing more.
