Graham is definitely a painter's painter. Despite enjoyable visits to conceptual art shows and galleries, the delicious smell of oil paints and pure pleasure of acrylics, pastels and losing one's sense of time in the process is not lost and should never play second fiddle to the unfortunate Conceptual art monopoly. Looking at Graham's work is like reading a book, with all the swathes, scratches and scrubbing evident in his work. This man is self taught but has a deep knowledge and feel of the medium which is very difficult to teach or be taught.
