I am an avid petroglyph photographer. My work as a consulting geologist takes me back and forth across the western states and I try to adjust my route to stop along the way to take pictures of petroglyphs whenever I can. I usually am on the run while taking the pictures, so I can make it to my next job site. This makes getting the light right difficult. I currently have over 14,000 petroglyph photos in my collection, mostly from New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. There are a lot of sites in Utah I want to see but just don't have the time to search them out. I also make petroglyph reproductions for sale. I thought this might be a way of keeping people from trying to steal the real thing. Check out the link, it is in terrible disrepair.

After looking at over 100 pages of petroglyph and pictograph pictures on Flickr, I have decided to try and show some things that are different than most are posting, maybe a little more off the beaten path. I may post some shots from Petrolgyph Monument on the west side of Albuquerque, but they will not be the same as others posted. I have a tendency to get "off the trail" more than most people.

Note that I can be a bit irreverant in my comments associated with an individual petroglyph, it is not meant to be disrespectful, I just like to have fun.

Since I have now paid my money and am now a PRO I have started to add other photos from my travels.
