Horse racing fan currently transplanted from the Deep South to NE Ohio. Wanted to be a jockey but grew too tall. My favorite racehorses of all time are Man O' War, Seattle Slew, Alydar, and First Dude.

I am currently on a mission to visit all of the active racetracks in the USA, and only have a few remaining to visit on the thoroughbred side (mostly in the southwest US and Louisiana). I also love visiting "ghost track" sites, and digging into the history of American racing all the way back to colonial days.

I am not a professional photographer! I simply enjoy horse racing. Thus, I enjoy taking pictures not only of the tracks I visit and the horses racing at them, but also of the people who work at the tracks and care for the animals that make this sport great.
