This Flickr account has been set up by a small group of shipping enthusiasts. All are members of the Great Lakes Historical Society, Tuncurry-Forster, NSW.

The purpose of this Flickr account is to gather images and information, to research historical sources for information relating to ships and vessels connected in any way with the coast and river trade in the Great Lakes & Manning River Districts of the New South Wales Mid North Coast.

 

The boundaries of the research will extend from Hawks Nest and Seal Rocks in the south to Crowdy Head, Harrington and Diamond Head in the north.

Eligible photos include any vessel built, owned, regularly trading or shipwrecked within these boundaries.

Submitted images , should if possible be TAGGED so as to be picked up by the groups database hyperlinks.

We as administrators of the group however are happy to add the tags.

 

Note a search of Google/Yahoo etc using the acronymic search term glmrsnsw brings up links to our Flickr photos. An image search using the same term may be preferred.
