I'm an old guy living on 21 acres in Texas, who has combined a long-time interest in photography and nature, most particularly birding. That said, I admit to being what "serious" birders call a "Porcher." That is someone who just sits on the porch and waits for birds to come by, rather than proactively going out to hunt for birds!
I have several albums titled "(fill in the blank) of Lincoln." All of the photos in these albums were taken on our property. The album "Birds of Lincoln - Solos" has one photo of each of the 138 bird species we've documented on our property (in cases where the male and female differ, I have a photo of each).
Several of the photos in the various albums are "documentation photos" - admittedly poor quality, but providing proof of the bird, insect, butterfly, or critter having visited our place. For those I just I keep my fingers crossed that I get an opportunity for a better shot in the future.
I invite you to look through my various albums and see what all Mother Nature has shared on one small patch of land in east-central Texas. And I would appreciate any suggestions if you think I have mis-identified anything. I make no claim of expertise!
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy my photos.
