There are so many wonderful photographers on Flickr that going on about myself seems indulgent.

But, for the record:

I have been doing photography all my life. My first dark room was the family bathroom where I used the porcelain bathtub to put a glossy finish on my first black and white contact prints. Yet I have watched people begin to post their work onto Flickr, and within a year get far better at the craft than I will ever be. Such a great medium, and so accessible.

I use a Canon 5D Mk 2 for current work, and I like a more painterly approach to the challenge. Macro, very wide angle, and the compression of telephoto keep me excited about making images. Start with black and add light to taste. The best recipe I know.
