Born Glasgow, Scotland.

Photography since 1973, first job with Bryan and Shear Ltd, Commercial and Industrial photographers,Glasgow.

Attended Epsom School of Art and Design, Surrey, England course subject Communication Design specializing still photography (1977-80). While in London worked with Calverts Press, Printing Co-op, then off to New Zealand. Traveled to West Coast, USA 1984 and up to Alaska.
