I grew up in Canberra exploring the hills, national parks, coasts and snowy mountains near by. After finishing university I travelled to New Zealand and South East Asia for two years enjoying the freedom of going where I pleased and no responsibilities. I moved to New South Wales when I returned and worked in various jobs related to the environment and particularly fire ecology.

I moved to Western Australian in 2008 when I got a job in the Kimberley with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Except for a quick trip to work in South Australia I have been in Western Australia ever since. I now live in Perth still working for the environment.

I started taking photographs with my Dad’s old Pentax SLR camera when I was at school. We had a black and white dark room there and I enjoyed endless hours experimenting with printing. I have moved on to a digital SLR and although I enjoy the freedom of taking lots of photos and playing around with them on the computer there is something not quite the same as working in a smelly, small, dark room and watching your images come to life.
