I used to work as a correspondent for a daily newspaper in Nothern France, in the film days. It did me a lot of good as far as technique and got rid of my shyness. I abandoned photography for a long time, but it called me back. This time I was more interested in emotions than gear, technique and sharpness, things only important when they are obviousely lacking. I love to photograph people because, well, I love people.

I am a Leica and Nikon fan, and of late, Fuji for their X100S. I temporarily got rid of my Leicas for a D2X and traveling money.

Update, 2023: Back in France for now.. No photography from 2016 to March 2023, no camera even. I just ordered a D3, so 2023 photos will most likely come from this beast.. I can't imagine doing street photography with something that big..
