“Birds of Gilgit-Baltistan” is an initiative to provide information about the distribution, description, behavior and records of all the bird species that have been documented in the region. This information will not only update literature about the status of avifauna in the region, but will also serve as a baseline for future research in this subject and conservation efforts. In its current version this portal provides detailed account of about 380 avian species relevant to Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.

 

All the images uploaded to Flickr and other sites are posted and shared under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA 2.0). You are free to copy, adapt, remix, transform and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and for any purpose, with appropriate credit/attribution.
