Sou formado em propaganda pela UFRGS e fiz uma pós em Gestão de Empresa mas o que eu gosto mesmo é de turismo, de viajar. Conhecer lugares interessantes, arquiteturas diferentes, cores e cheiros instigantes. Sou apaixonado por futebol, vejo qualquer partida que esteja passando na TV, mas meu time do coração é o Internacional Porto Alegre, além dele, só o Ajax Amsterdam, mas nem só de futebol vive o esporte, também assisto as corridas de F-1 e tenho de confessar, nas últimas Olimpíadas de Inverno em Vancouver e Sochi, assisti alguns jogos de curling. Acho que este gosto de viajar é que me faz gostar de filatelia também, afinal, através dos selos dá pra se ir a muitos cantos deste mundão.

Também sou apaixonado por Porto Alegre, mas quando tenho de ser crítico com minha cidade, não perdoo. Uso a fotografia para que certos momentos, belos ou não, fiquem mais um pouco entre nós e divido isso com todos através do Flickr.

Mas tem um cantinho deste planeta que é muito, mas muito especial. Amsterdã. A cidade mais legal que já conheci e que um dia, espero, minhas cinzas sejam jogadas no Amstel.

My name is Gilmar Mattos, a non smoking guy, with 42 y/o. I’m graduated in Advertising at UFRGS and Postgraduated in Business Management, but what I like to do is tourism. I love travelling to different countries and cities to know interesting places, architetures, colours, different smells and tastes. I’ve been to Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, USA, Panama, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and Turkey.

I’m in love about my city, but when I have to criticize it I have critical eyes. Good points and bad ones.

I generally use the pictures to show some moving moments, beauty or not and I share it on Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/gijlmar/).

But there is a little place in this planet that is so special, called Amsterdam. The coolest city I ever know and maybe someday my ashes will rest at Amstel.

I love soccer and I usually watch the games on TV and I’m a Porto Alegre’s Internacional supporter and besides Internacional, I like Ajax Amsterdam. But sport goes beyond soccer, as also volleyball, formula 1 are amazing and I have to confess, in the latests Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver and Sochi, I watched curling and I loved it!

I think this passion for new cultures and travelling makes me a real philatelist, although, by the stamps is possible to go everywhere in the world and learn about other countries.

I like to listen to music and the ears phones are part of my body.
