My first digital camera was really low quality, the resolution was 640X480. I only had it for about 10 shots. A few months later I picked up a Polaroid something. It had a better resolution at 1024X768. Still sub 1 megapixels, I took a few pictures but after a 28 days it stopped working. Luckily it had a 30 day return policy so I returned it. I was without a camera for a few more months and still hadn't really gotten into the whole digital experience. I did a little research and found the Toshiba PDR-M65. 3.2 megapixel with 3X optical zoom. It was a good camera for a while until it started to freak out and wouldn't take pictures. I still have it with a few pictures stuck on it. I don't have the memory reader anymore and the usb cable is missing. It powers on, but won't take anymore pictures. Since it was broke and I was going on a trip I went down and picked up a Vivitar Vivicam 3746 also 3.2 megapixel and 3x optical zoom. It is a nice pocket size. However it somehow makes all pictures read only and can't even be rotated, I have to save as to edit them. I then picked up a Canon S2 IS (backup camera now). I love it because of the nice quality of pictures and the superb movie mode. The best movie mode I have seen on a digital camera. My primary video capturing device.
11/25/06 update. My wife has just purchased a D50. So I will be borrowing it from time to time. Let the experimentation begin.
07/20/07 Update. I finally realized my goal of getting a DSLR.
I picked up the Nikon D80 Outfit. Which includes the D80 Body and the Nikkor DX AF-S 18-135mm 3.5-5.6 G ED lense. I can't wait to start using it.

My english is poor. I just want to say : "Gigapic is a great guys"
Gigapic knows just how to do it. With a combination or artistic pieces like throwing a camera during a shutter cycle to cityscapes and landscapes and more, he can take an everyday moment a make it a work of photographic art. Go Giga!!
