I be Gia Gloveliczyk and I am what many call a transvestite, though only part time and then again only a small part of that part time equivalent to ¹⁄³² of my time here on this little planet, and that is probably on average, sometimes less and sometime more. Though I guess that is a good amount of time when combined all together. Transvestite sounds too scientific somehow, so can be called a Tranny or a crossdresser but probably not a drag queen and definitely not a drama queenbut do enjoy a bit of travestie. Far too on the levelheaded side of matters for the drama. Though I do appreciate good drama in the media sense.
Guess I am into retro type things, not that things nowadays aren't good, just like some stuff from the past but would like to think that forward is my thinking. Though it probably isn't so PC to say, the days when Men were Men and Women were Dames are very appealing, at least from a dress sense. But the days when Boys are Girls and vice versa are good with me. Otherwise I would be a hypocrite wouldn't I? Frankly those days should be expanded and kept going
Been out and about over the past year that I have Trannied (that's the past tense form of 'to Tranny', check it, it's in the official Tranny dictionary...if it's not it should be...and if there isn't a Tranny dictionary, there should be....at least to clarify all those double entendre's out there) met plenty of cool people, exciting people, scary people and nice people amongst all the people that people the Tranny population. England and especially London are ace for Trannies. So many people and venues that share my interest in this travestie stuff. Gosh, so many venues with different crowds. Trannyshack, Magic Theatre at the Rivoli Ballroom, the Way Out Club, Pink Punters Big Nite Out to name a few of my favourites. To all the people I have met over the past year I give a hearty manly handshake, an air kiss on each cheek and a slight squeeze on the butt if warranted....

She is a hip, cool, amazing, inventive, creative person who I think is completely capturing the transgendered zeitgeist that is post-modern London in 2008. Not content to take and produce alarming, funny, thought-provoking, reflective and occasionally brilliant images, Gia is someone who, when she gets hold of the reins, takes the bull by the horns and the world by the throat and rings the living daylights out of it and then comes back for more. There can't be many people who are this committed to being themselves and reveling in it. It's a joy to behold and I count myself as one of the very lucky ones to have been close to this creative dynamo in action.
