My name is Ghica Popa, I am an artist and art director based in Bucharest, Romania. After having graduated the Primary School of Arts, the Arts High School and the University of Arts, I got a job in advertising (8 years ago). I still work in advertising, for the agency Leo Burnett & Target Bucharest, but I enjoy drawing and sketching the rest of the time, in my home studio.

As an art director, I have worked for international brands such as Orange, Procter & Gamble, Western Union, GE Money, Fanta, Sprite and for local brands such as Prigat, Bergenbier, The Antipa Museum. Some of the work I did for them brought me awards and nominations at advertising festivals around the world: Cannes Lions, Epica, Eurobest, New York Festivals, Golden Drum, Ad’Or, Effie, Euro Effie.

My work as an artist includes illustration, identity design, editorial design and toy design. I like working with other artists and fancy companies, so don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re interested in a collaboration.
