I've been threatening to learn more about photography as a hobby for Quite Some Time now.
I'm a Graduate Architect working for a small office in South Perth, Western Australia.
I went to Europe, the UK and Egypt in 2009, and I think nearly 7 months of doing not much more than taking photos improved my skills a little. I like to go up the north coast of Western Australia and snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef. I also keep tropical fish. Capturing good images of them and my tanks is something that I toy with from time to time.

For a long time I only had a little point and shoot - Olympus Mju 760, which is decent but I find terrible at capturing greens and blues. Recently, it's started focusing only when it feels like it. As soon as I have the money I want to buy an SLR. My underwater camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC-W5 with an underwater housing.
On 23 February 2012 I finally brought my first DSLR, a secondhand Nikon D80, four years old with about 8,000 actuations under it's belt. As of right now I only have one lens, a Nikon Nikkor 50mm 1:1.5.8 D.
I also use my iPhone 4 for casual photography on the run. It delivers results that are often surprising. Generally I use Camera+ (by TapTapTap) to shoot and edit these.
I talk too much!
