These days, everyone is a photographer, so welcome fellow photographers. I am honored you are taking time to look at some of my contributions to the world's photo flood. Hope you enjoy some of them.

Welcome to my photostream. Its main subjects are natural features in areas where I live and travel - and some fiddle related shots. Happily, it has also helped me organize the too many photos I have loved taking. Flickr has also offered me the chance to find a wealth of wonderful people whose images and words I enjoy. Thanks to you all.

Photography: it's about the joy of getting out, seeing, shooting and sharing. What a grand joy it is, as most anyone who reads this far knows.

The gear doesn't matter much to me except that it should be easy to carry and feel good in my hands. The processing: only as the mood hits. However with Snapseed enabling fast and powerful edits and delightful photo effect apps, I am doing more edits than ever, yet leaving most of my time for being outside with the cams.

Advice: Don't worry about lenses or time of day or weather, just go shooting and do it for you. There is always a treasure to take home. So now, go take a photo

Have been shooting since Zenit SLR days. Biggest influence was and is Freeman Patterson. I still return in awe to his many books. For a couple of years now I have been learning from a wonderful couple, Tony and Chelsea Northrup whose podcasts and videos are informative and inspiring. Thank you Tony and Chelsea!

If I could grow an extra ear for listening to something, just one thing, that cannot normally be heard, I'd choose to listen to photo fiddler's photo stream. No matter how much I'd love to elaborate on this metaphor, I think that you better look at his photos and hear it yourself. Oh, by the way, I wholeheartedly agree… Read more

Photo fiddler's work never ceases to amaze me as it puts new spins on themes with which I had thought myself entirely familiar. His compositions and ability to capture the atmosphere of his world are a treat for the eyes. I don't think anyone has made a study at once so exhaustive and thorough of Peggy's Cove while still managing to maintain shots that sparkle with originality and novelty. He captures the beauty and freshness of nature with a creative mind and an innovative eye
