I left school at 16 and went to work in a large metals smelting factory in Avonmouth for six years. I enjoyed it hugely, watching people doing so many things as they worked together. It gave me a great experience of ‘real life’’, something I shall never forget.

And then I later went to college where I soon learnt I was neither the best, nor the worst, but somewhere in the middle of things!

I began to play around with a camera only a few years ago or so. I was working in the Gambia in West Africa at the time and realised how I missed out by not using a camera. (See the result on my Flickr, dated Oct 26, 2020). I got a couple of different cameras but I’m pleased to use my small Sony RX100 which suits me well - I now keep it in my pocket all the time.

So I started to click at anything that took my fancy: people in public, on the streets, at markets; just anywhere. And I just carried on........and on - mainly as a street photographer. As a gay man, I like images of other men, especially ones with nice bodies - see my Faves here!

But I have also come to believe that photography (of people) is more than just images: it can be a wonderful celebration of life! I should add that, since I like men, some people may not like my adult choices.

PLEASE NOTE WELL - I do NOT support people who want to follow me but have NO photographs to offer of their own. If you have no images, then I WILL BLOCK you. Flickr is for people who take and share their own work.

I should add something for men who have sex with men (they are included in my pics), but if they need advice or help, then they could get in touch with Terrence Higgins Trust 0808 802 1221.
