I am reconnecting with how I used to capture photographs with a real camera. This is to understand the relationship of cameras and people for my research.

I am completing a Transdisciplinary PhD at the University of Calgary. The focus of my PhD is the industrial landscape and community memories of the Turner Valley Oilfields in Foothills County. This will involve creating a deep map which will potentially encompass the entire province as a way to gather and share heritage memories. A large part of this work involve family photo albums that capture the oilfield era. I have also completed an MFA and MSc. As an artist I use creative research to explore my relationship to abandoned spaces in Canada.
