Ich begann in Rostock zu fotografieren, als ich etwa 10 Jahre alt war (1973). Mein Onkel Lothar, der inzwischen leider verstorben ist, hatte mich an die Fotografie herangeführt. Er wohnte als junger Mann damals noch bei meiner Oma in Magdeburg und hatte ihr winziges Badezimmer mit Boiler und Wanne temporär zur Fotoentwicklungskammer umfunktioniert. Damit war auch mein Interesse geweckt, und ich war von der Fotografie und der Fotoentwicklung regelrecht infiziert. Als ich 12 Jahre alt war hatte ich natürlich auch ein eigenes Fotolabor: anfangs in meinem Kinderzimmer. Aber ich musste wegen der Geruchsbelästigung und der faktischen Unbewohnbarkeit des Zimmers mit meinem Labor ziemlich rasch in den Keller umziehen. In strengen Wintern musste ich dort das Wasser für die verschiedenen Bäder der Film- und Fotoentwicklung manchmal zuerst mit einem Tauchsieder auftauen. Aber es funktionierte. Und es war ja auch nicht immer kalt. Seither hat mich die Fotografie fast immer begleitet. Menschen bilde ich am liebsten ab. Aber auch für Street- und Makrofotografie kann ich mich sehr begeistern. Heute, mit 57 Jahren (2020), benutze ich eine Nikon D4, eine D6 und eine 7500. Ich nutze eine sehr umfangreiche Nikkor-Ausstattung, mehrere Blitze, Lichtformer und Farbfilter. Trotz aller Technik, die Leidenschaft, aus der Hand zu fotografieren, ist geblieben.

 

Ich danke allen Besuchern meines Flickr-Auftritts und hoffe, dass sie dort viele Bilder finden, die ihnen gefallen oder sie auch erstaunen. An Kommentaren, Hinweisen und Kritiken bin ich immer interessiert sowie daran, Wissen und Erfahrungen auszutauschen.

 

Leider ist mein Englisch nicht besonders gut. Deswegen übersetze ich fremdsprachige Texte immer mit kostenlosen Online Services.

I started taking pictures in Rostock when I was about 10 years old (1973). My uncle Lothar, who unfortunately has since passed away, had introduced me to photography. At that time he was still living with my grandmother in Magdeburg as a young man and had temporarily converted her tiny bathroom with boiler and tub to a photo development chamber. This sparked my interest and I was literally infected by photography and photo development. When I was 12 I naturally had my own photo laboratory: initially in my child's room. But I had to move to the basement pretty quickly because of the smell and the fact that the room was actually uninhabitable. In harsh winters, I sometimes had to first thaw the water for the various baths for film and photo development with an immersion heater. But it worked. And it wasn't always cold. Since then, photography has almost always accompanied me. I prefer to depict people. But I can also be very enthusiastic about street and macro photography. Today, at the age of 57 (2020), I use a Nikon D4 and also have a very extensive Nikkor equipment, several flashes, light shapers and color filters. Despite all the technology, the passion to take photos from the hand has remained.

 

I would like to thank all visitors to my Flickr website and hope that they will find a lot of pictures there that they will like or that will surprise them. I am always interested in comments, tips and reviews, as well as sharing knowledge and experiences.

 

Unfortunately my English is not very good. That's why I always translate foreign-language texts using free online services.
