It has been my pleasure to take photos since my early teenage years. I have been using photography as a “note taking tool” and a substitute for journal writing for some time.

I am Hungarian-Romanian-Canadian living in Canada since 1987. As a young boy I joined the rocket-building club, however quickly transferred to the photo club, as I was busy taking photographs of the rockets instead building them. In my younger years, photography kept me very slim, as I spent more money on equipment than on food.

Professionally, I have a degree in Forest Engineering, a diploma in Business Management and one in Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography - New York, USA.

I have co-founded and managed a private photo club and gallery in Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada that exhibits over 100 photographs, and has more than 40 members. I have participated in several photo exhibitions and competitions.

A fan of the National Geographic magazine, I had been dreaming about the possibility of going on a journey to unknown places since my early childhood. In 2009-2010 I decided to take a break and embark on a “Journey around the World”. I had been on the road for 333 days crossing 25 countries, meeting countless interesting people, trying to learn a bit of each language, wearing the local clothing, immersing myself in the local customs, eating the local street food and having many memorable moments along the way. When I look back at the photographs taken I almost cannot believe that I was in such wonderful and strange places. This World of ours is so different yet so familiar. In the most faraway places one can meet people that seem to have been part of one’s life since ever.

The road gave me an ability to take a deep breath and enjoy life as air goes in my lungs…
