My interests shift like sand. Volcanoes and landscapes are permanent, but on any other day it may be birds, or astro, or clouds, or people or pinhole or macro. Or whatever else captures my passing imagination.

I tend to dedicate myself passionately to one particular area of (technical) knowledge. Once obtained, I typically lose interest and move on to the next "big" thing.

My life in cameras: 1963: Agfa ISO-PAK; 1972: Praktica LTL; 1978: Nikon FE; 1980: Nikon FM; 1998: Sony Cybershot; 2000: Epson PC 3000Z; 2003: Nikon D1X; 2004: Linhof Technika 70 MF (56x72 mm); 2006: Nikon D200, Nikon Coolpix 8700; 2007: Nikon D40 Kit; 2013: Nikon D7100; 2019: Nikon D7200, 2021: Nikon Z7, 2024: Nikon Z8
