Since I was a child I was fascinated with photography. The idea of capturing a moment in time that in most cases can never be replicated, especially if the subject are people. Children change features very quickly and so it's impossible to get these back again naturally.

I'm coming from an engineering background and so the technical aspects of photography are intriguing, especially when you have to balance ISO / Shutter speed / Aperture to achieve the correct exposure.

I also find it interesting how different we see things compared to a camera. For example looking at tall buildings we know that if we look at them from the corner of our eyes, that they are not curved as a wide angle lens would make you believe it is.

I've been a member of the Celbridge Camera Club since 2012 and was the chairperson in 2017. In this club I made some new friends, shared ideas, and discovered some hidden places I never knew were there. I also learnt so much about composition techniques & Photoshop. In the start I would bring all the detail to the max. and using HDR programs and loved it, but now realise that less is more and keep images closer to the way it was.

As you will see from some of my collection I photograph anything and anybody. I hope you like it.
