I am an award-winning reporter and photographer, with 35yrs experience. I am a Pulitzer-Prize finalist, U.S. Army veteran, an investigative and enterprise reporter, and a photojournalist.

 

Started my career in journalism, spending my first 15 years as a photographer. I then began writing articles to go with my photography, and in 2003 became the photo editor of the Venice Gondolier.

 

In 2004, I transferred to the Charlotte Sun and became a reporter in their North Port bureau, covering first the city beat, then covering crime and courts and investigative reporting.

 

My acccomplishments: 2005 Pulitzer Finalist, Florida Press Club's 2005 Frances DeVore Award for Public Service (investigative reporting). I have won numerous awards for both my reporting and photography on a state and national level.

 

I was the President of the Florida Press Club from 2006 through most of 2007. Spent 3 years total on the board of directors, with a year as Vice President, and as a board member, seminar coordinator.
