I first came across Geoff in the MacroMondays group. I hadn't been there very long but his pics always stood out from the rest. After looking through the rest of his stream I was really blown away by his creativity, his processing is very impressive which always gives his work that certain edge. Long story short - his work is well worthy of the top galleries in the world. I look forward to a great flickr friendship with him because from a few exchanges of comments we've had I can tell he's a great guy.

Geoff is not so much a photographer as he is an artist who uses a camera as a creative tool. His work is superb and it communicates on so many symbolic levels. For instance, Geoff's photographs evoke a wide range of emotions: they are achingly beautiful, poignant, funny, inventive and hilarious. A silhouetted child clutches his teddy, as he stands encased within a black door frame. A summer picnic is reflected hauntingly in a pair of mirrored sunglasses. A child's bare foot is painted with the word: NIKE. Every shot is a delight. What amazes me, is that when I first found Geoff back in May, I had to tell him that he had photographs in Explore - that's how little he was aware of his talent. Now of course he seems to get 'Explored' almost daily, and I am so pleased that his work is getting the recognition it deserves. He is such a talented photographer and so lavish with his compliments and his time. (See the testimonial he wrote me, if you doubt his generosity!) Every day I am amazed anew as Geoff goes from strength to strength as a photographer. I can't imagine where he'll be next year this time. Probably on the front page of Time or Newsweek!
