I'm passionate about taking photos and not so for a definitive genre. To me it's all about the feeling photography creates in me. Gear is only a tool. Photos are created in our soul long before we capture them. There are certain rules that we should not follow unless they apply to what our emotions tell is right.

I am not a professional and never attended art school. I have learned what I know by personal experience and experimentation. I just want to mention this because some people think to make the photos in your mind you need expensive gear and a proper education. I am sure the latter is true and I will never compete with those who spend years in art school, but to have fun doing this, you can go this far with second hand gear and dedicated goals. I will always be open to share my experience with anyone who is serious about photography. I have begun with a Yashica TL-Electro X in 1975 and learned myself from books to process black and white negatives and later colour reversal film. I spent many years with gear and lenses but I have also had a gap for 20+ years (due to family and work).

Since a few years this hobby sparked again, and here I am.

My other interests are music (composing, guitar and keyboards) and astronomy, which I began with when I was around 10.
