For me, photography is mainly about remembrance, and the print. As far as images that are intended only to be shared on the web, social media sites, or any other internet based sites, I have little interest. What I aspire to first is to obtain a good photo in the first place, have some fun doing the basic processing, i.e. raw processing, and then doing further creative things with various photoshop and photoshop plug-in programs.....and ultimately getting a good print, which matches what I see on the monitor, and is then ready to be archived as a "hard copy", i.e. print. I particularly like good black and white conversions, and different toning options in black and white processing. I do not like taking photographs, and using software to give the photos any kind of a "painterly" effect. For me, painting is a whole other art form, which has its own steep learning curve, just as photography does (both of which I'm trying to learn), and I don't like my photographs to be digitally converted to what looks like a hand done painting. To me, both photography and painting are two wonderful art forms, and it is up to the person doing the artwork, which method will be the best to achieve the envisioned/desired result.

Her lovely kitty Jasmine is very beautiful and Pamela takes very good pictures of her. Like me Pamela is learning the art of photography, but her efforts so far are first class. We write to each other when we can and it's nice to know that she is prepared to spend the time and do that.
