Winfield is one of the key players who started the customizing craze that first swept through California and then throughout the nation in the '50s and '60s.

Gene's cars have appeared in more than 25 motion pictures including "Robocop", "Blade Runner", "The Last Starfighter", "Back To The Future II" and the 1972 Woody Allen move "Sleeper". His dream cars have been seen in over 50 television commercials and shows including "Batman", "Mission Impossible", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E", and the original "Star Trek".
