Personal me:
I think it's important to share a bit of wisdom I've acquired in my lifetime: the most infectious song to get stuck in your head is the theme from "Sanford and Son." It was lodged at the front of my brain for my entire freshman year in college. The only remedy is "We Built This City," and then you're stuck with that. Even after a tutorial with my 13 year old cousin, I still don't really get facebook. I've never seen a Kung Fu movie, but I feel confident that the genre is not for me. I would, however watch any Kung Fu film before I'd see any movie starring Andie MacDowell. There is something very wrong when only two people are on the dance floor, and one of them is me. I believe that lemon pepper is a fantastic addition to nearly any dish. I never want to own a chair in the shape of a hand. I use my turn signal even when no one is around. I always love the idea of shopping at second hand stores, but I find they make my wrists itchy. I'm not into certain abbreviations like "merch" instead of merchandise. I get uncomfortable when the cast in a film breaks into an impromptu song, and it doesn't quite work. I love that 9 seconds in a microwave makes a Krispy Kreme donut taste like new. Some of my favorite foods: extremely stinky mushy cheese, german chocolate cake, artichokes, In N Out, most shellfish-- I am the worst Jew ever, sushi and sashimi, nachos without beans, popovers, any fondue, good pizza. When out for a meal, I will likely attempt to convince a friend that they want to share an appetizer sampler platter. I've learned not to do this with my anorexic friends. I loathe doing dishes, but laundry is okay. I enjoy internet window shopping. I have an unhealthy fascination with premium denim. I wish that one piece footy pj's were considered sexy. Yoga gives me anxiety.
Professional me:
Born into a family of artists, I might have been cast out had I wound up practicing law or medicine, so I am thankful that I love making jewelry. It all started about 7 years ago on a beautiful but boring day with a piece of elastic and some tiny plastic beads. Never one to take the beaten path, I taught myself to design and make jewelry through a healthy dose of trial and error, and as my skill level rose so did the quality of my materials. I have learned where and how to find gorgeous top quality materials at amazing prices and am proud to share that savings with my clients. I can't say where my inspiration comes from, but I can share that it has been known to force me to make earrings at 4 am. My work has been on TV, film, print, and the red carpet, as I love making custom pieces for specific ensembles. My earrings and necklaces are designed to be worn with the dressiest of gowns one day and to spice up jeans and a t shirt the next. Enjoy!
