It started as one of Secret Cinema’s ideas, the Gem Sessions nights in Utrecht in 2004. After a series of gigs the concept was put on hold after a year only to be re-launched in 2009. The original idea has been developed into a platform for electronic music. Now, Gem no longer stands for events alone, but for a collective of artists that perform together and a record label on which they release music. Gem Sessions has now become a showcase for the sound of Gem Records. In association with distributor WordAndSound we will be releasing a number of Gems throughout 2010
