Born in NYC, I live in florentine Chianti with my partner of 32 years, 4 dogs, 3 mandolins, a concertina, 3 tin whistles and a camera.

 

I'm a licensed fine art guide of Florence and its environs in beautiful TUSCANY and am totally passionate about sharing my love of, and respect for this place with those who come to visit it.

 

The fuel in my tank is a high octane mix of art, books, history, photography, food, music, wine, dogs, tradition, folklore and the partner. Not necessarily in this order.

 

Inspired and, hopefully, influenced in art and everything else by the Japanese photographers Daido Moriyama, Domon Ken, Tomei Shomatsu, Hiroshi Hamaya, the Canadian photographer working in Japan, Ken Straiton... the Japanese american sculptor Isamu Noguchi... Salvador Dalì and Marcel Duchamp, Jan van Eyck and Gentile da Fabriano. One of my favorite haunts in Florence is the Museo Alinari. Maybe I'll bump into you there?
