This Flickr site presents the photo collection of the late Geoff Cargeeg.

This represents the entire collection as at March 2020, except for a small number of boxes located in 2019 after the photo collection was locked by Flickr under their new policy for free CC-licensed accounts. There will therefore be no further additions to the collection.

The photos are presented 'as is', at a resolution of around 1200 x 800 pixels.

Most were scanned with a Nikon LS-2000 film scanner, using Vuescan running under Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Scanning at a lower resolution using a bulk slide feeder has enabled the collection of over 18,000 photos to be digitised in a reasonable time and preserved for the enjoyment of all.

The best photos can now more easily be identified and located should a higher-quality image be required.

The naming convention follows the format: YYMMX-nn, where:

YY = year

MM = month

X = box designation (letter A..Z)

nn = serial number

Thus 7807C-12 would indicate a date of July 1978, box C, slide 12.

*** Important Note ***

Where photos could be identified, the date code on each box indicates the date of the predominant or last content.

Many photos could not be identified, in which case the processing date was used. This may be as much as several years after the actual photo was taken.
