I am a very happily married guy. We have more children than you can count on one hand.

I first got into photography back in 1985-ish. I had a photography class in high school and also took one year of yearbook class too. In those days it was all about the Canon AE-1.

My wife bought me my first digital camera. It was a Nikon coolpix. Fun little camera and it fit in my pocket.

The next camera was a Canon S1 IS. This was the king of the point and shoot cameras. But eventually it went wack on me.

So the third camera was a Canon S2 IS. Pretty much just a simple upgrade from the previous camera.

Somewhere along my digital journey, I was craving more control. Just more of everything. But money was the factor here.

So now comes the Nikon D40. Easy on the pocket and power in the palm of my hand.
