Thanks for coming to see what I can do!
I am a just moving down to the DFW area and am searching for some second shooting, associate work as my wife is still up in Michigan finishing up the season of weddings.
Our website is www.gauperphoto.com/ but this flickr showcases my images only.
This means I have very limited equipment so while I have the know how and talent, I am lacking the funds right now to get a whole second set of equipment.
What this means for someone looking to hire me on as a second is that you would either need some lenses to supplement me for your wedding or you would need to rent me what ever you would want me to have.
What I DO have is a Canon 5D mkII, a Sigma 14mm f/2.8 which is a bit soft but it works. I also have a 50 f/1.8 and a 580 EXII.
I also have a lot f experience with Nikon and have shot the last few weddings with a D800 and have no problem switching back an forth.
I know this seems like a bit of a pain, but as far as second shooters I doubt it gets better then someone like me if I could toot my own horn. I know what its like to be the main shooter as I've run 75+ weddings so I know what you need and I know what I would want from a second shooter without having to be told.
I know that a good second takes as much stress from the lead as possible so I always hustle. I always know what needs to be captured so I am constantly reminding and making sure you get things. (unless you tell me to shut up!)
I am great with lighting and I like to think I am super awesome at receptions.
My rate is $35 and hour for second shooting and I dont accept jobs more then 3 months in advance.

Ryan's photos always have a kind of effervescent light in them, the poses are creative and seem so natural in his portraits and his locations are fabulous. I can only imagine being a believer myself that his [and Holly's talent] truly comes out of a reverence for the One who created them. It looks to me like their ability to create beautiful images is just an outpouring of their love for God. But faith aside, these two are seriously FABULOUS photographers and while I don't get as much time lately as I'd like.......every time I do need inspiration on Flickr I come to Ryan's stream and I am never disappointed!

To tell you the truth, I can't remember how I stumbled upon Ryan Richard's photostream... but boy am I glad I did! Ryan has a great photographic eye as evidenced by the beautiful and creative images he has on his photostream. I would highly recommend that you stay up to date with his postings... he has a gift!
