As Jack Webb used to say -- "just the facts" -- which are -- I live in sparsely populated mountains in far Northern California. Enjoy -- among other things -- hiking -- backpacking -- bicycling -- philosophy -- creeks/mountains/meadows -- and -- mediocre photography skills notwithstanding -- photography -- especially wilderness and wildlife photography.

 

Primarily use Flickr as a back-up photo archive.

My photostream -- Beyond the Trail -- is a remembrance. From the early '90s up until about 2007 had a website called Beyond the Trail. Possibly a few backbackers might remember it. The original site is long gone but thanks to the Way-Back Machine (Internet Archive) -- some of the site has been preserved. It's dusty, dated, drab, draped in cobwebs (and some links no longer work) but for the time-traveling curious -- the archive address is:
