Every so often, I run out of ideas and inspiration for new photography, totally stuck on how I can make hills and sky look more interesting than a cheap postcard from the local Post Office. Then I look at Gary's work. Gary always seems to be trying out new equipment, new techniques, pushing himself before he gets in a rut (unlike me). He reveals landscapes for what they are, bringing out the beauty, even if the weather sucks. Thanks for inspiring me Gary. Keep digging me out the rut.

I have just realised that I have not written a short note for Gary! A fabulous mix of photos from a totally open and honest guy. I don't need to say too much about his pictures as, if you have come to this section of the page, you are obviously interested and impressed. So click that "contact" button. As every historian should appreciate, we cannot make sense of our present without understanding the past: Gary is a mind of information on technique and equipment, unlike me he understands a lot of the "small print". My camera collection might be bigger but he always gets better bargains than I do! I hope Scottish Heritage appreciate your talents!
Read lessA photographer with soul. Krasnyi has a foot both in the digital camp and in the realm of film - and he's a master of both. His willingness to take odd and esoteric old film cameras and wring wonderful photos out of them is inspiring to say the least.
Great man to talk about old cameras and FSU Rf's with not to mention a great photographer...Thank gary you've helped me though my rangefinder addiction haha
Gary is the master of light and shadows! He is a fabulous landscape and portrait artist, who also happens to have excellent taste.
Gary likes cameras. A lot.
The first time I saw one of Krasnyi's pictures was on a group for images you weren't really sure about. I could see the point in all the other photos being there but his was just brilliant! This immediately led me to question if he was nuts. And I then discovered the rest of his work and have yet to be dissappointed. A… Read more

Author of some of the most amazing landscapes around - he is even friendly!
