I am an amateur photographer who has a passion for photography. I got into photography in an interesting way. We went on vacation to Costa Rica one year and then to Santa Fe, New Mexico and we took pictures with our iPhones. My wife said that we really needed to get a better camera to take pictures with so several months before a trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico the following year I bought a Nikon D3300 camera without knowing anything about DSLRs and quickly tried to learn the basics so I could take some pictures of our trip. In the process I found that I really loved taking pictures and found it relaxing and great way to relieve stress, and just really fun. I found that there was a lot to learn and a lot more than I realized to take good pictures. I started by using Auto mode and shooting in JPEG but gradually as I learned more I now shoot in Manual mode and in RAW and process pictures in either Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC or Photoshop CC. I love Macro photography and dabble into Astrophotography but now find I love landscapes, sunsets and wildlife photography. I now shoot with a Nikon D7500 and my main lenses which I use most of the time are a Nikon 18-300 mm and a Sigma 17-50 mm. For Macro shots I use a Tokina 100 mm. For wildlife photography I use a Sigma 150 - 600 mm Contemporary.
