I view the art of photography as a means to try to capture in an image the emotions I felt at the moment of the shutter click.
My photographs have appeared in numerous publications including The Smithsonian, hang in the offices of the Environmental Defense Fund, appeared in calendars from the Nature Conservancy and AARP, and have won awards including First Place in the 2024 National Wildlife Federation (NWF) contest in the Landscape category and the 2020 American Landscape Grand Prize by Outdoor Photographer. They have also appeared as part of the Holiday Card series from the National Wildlife Federation for both 2022 and 2023, My photography is on display at the Alberta Street Gallery [www.albertastreetgallery.com/] in Portland, Oregon and also can be viewed on my website: [ggman.zenfolio.com/].
