Hello, and welcome to my Flickr web page. My name is Doug Steele I live in Sandy, Utah-U.S.A. To me photography is a way to capture what is most beautiful, meaningful, and exciting in my life. What ignited the spark to get more interested in taking photos was a visit to a photo art gallery in Cambria, California. I saw some of the most amazing landscape photos and I wanted mine to look like those. So I asked the owner how do I get such beautiful photos. His answer surprised me because he made it sound so easy to do. He told me to get to thoroughly know your camera and then start taking lots of photos of what interest you. Try to make each photo better than the last. He emphasized that all his photos were taken with just camera settings and little or no Photoshop enhancement. I've tried to follow his advise, but I don't profess to have any of his professional talent. In fact, I shoot for fun and hopefully get a few great shots once in awhile.
