G.Deren manages to capture small fragments of his own life and the life of his surroundings and turn them into vivid, still-life moments of grace. His extraordinary talent to detect frame and immortalize every day’s sights and occurrences comes out in all forms of documentary photography. He is a master of portraits, a sensitive observer of architecture and design and keen searcher of life’s passing moments. With all-most all of his photos taken on 35mm film and developed the “good old fashion way” without any post manipulations, he succeeds to create an old nostalgic feeling and a distinctive Deren look and theme.
