The Galapagos Science Center (GSC) was founded in 2011 between the University San Francisco of Quito, Ecuador and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, USA as a hub to coordinate scientific research projects between local, national, and international scientists to benefit the Galapagos and the world of science. El Galapagos Science Center (GSC) es una iniciativa conjunta entre la Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) y la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill (UNC) creada en el 2011 y que se encuentra en Puerto Baquerizo Moreno en San Cristóbal-Galápagos. El GSC tiene el objetivo de ofrecer un punto de coordinación para la realización de proyectos de investigación entre científicos locales, nacionales e internacionales en beneficio de las Islas Galápagos y la ciencia mundial.
