I am an Icelandic economist. I am working as a mayor for the municipality Borgarbyggd which is located at the western part of Iceland. I have three children, two boys which are born 1985 and 1989 and a girl which is born 1993. I enjoy photographing, trawelling, running and watching football (live). I used Pentax film camera but I switced to Canon digital camera in 2005. My cameras are now Canon Mark IV and Canon 5d Mark III.

I am an ultrarunner and have run more than 30 marathons, six times the 55 km ultrarunning in the Icelandic mountain, 4 x 100 km, 100 k on treadmill and 24 hour on treadmill, the 100 M Western States Endurance Run in California USA in 26 hours and 14 min, 24 hours run outdoors, indoors, on a treadmill and on a 400 meters track. I ran Spartathlon in Greece 2008 . Spartathlon is 246 km between Athens and Spartha. I have among others finished the four classic ultramarathons, GUCR (145 M) i and Thames Ring (250 M).
