Having travelled all over the world, I began to understand the primal trigger a single photograph can have. In developed societies, we often take for granted the plethora of creative imagery that bombard us on a daily basis. Contrast this experience with a family in a third world country, that may have a single photograph to tie them with a memory long ago. If they're lucky. This knowledge is what propels me to work as hard as I do.
I pride myself in being no b*llshit, before it was cool to do so. This allows me the carry myself with a very positive attitude. Problems are challenges. Mistakes are speed bumps. And accidents are strokes of inspiration. I do what I love. And I love what I do. I am motivated by the desire to create memorable pieces of art.
It isn’t uncommon for myself to spend hours in a trance, staring at a monitor contemplating when an image is actually ‘done’. Aiming for success often feels like finding the patterns in chaos; isolating moments that are relatable to people at the most basic level.
I’m old enough to have revelled in film photography, but young enough to believe I can change the world.
