My name is Inken, I was born in Schleswig Holstein in North Germany and living and enjoying life now for the last 10 years in the heart of England.

I create felted art to wear, unique and quirky, sometimes abstract, in form of scarves, wraps, shawls, vests and jewellery.

My felt art is inspired and influenced by the coastal wildlife and nature of my birth place. The alternating moods of the sea, from ferocious power of the waves to the hypnotic tranquillity of its calm waters along the northern coast.

My passion for felting started several years ago, it opened new doors for my love of colour, pattern, textures and natural forms combined with quirkiness and wearable art. Felting is like painting with fibre, a process of transformation from loose fibre to a textile that is unique and beautiful whilst leaving scope for the imagination to run wild.
