Mi interessano principalmente le fotografie di architettura e i ritratti, ma osservo e studio ogni genere di immagine indipendentemente dallo stile o dal soggetto. In una fotografia valuto come primo elemento l'idea su cui si fonda e poi la composizione.

I'm 36 and live in Milan, Italy.

 

 

I usually shoot using a Nikon D90 with 3 lenses (nikkor 18-200, 12-24 and 50mm). Sometimes I also use some point and shoot cameras.

Architectural pictures and portraiture are my primary interests, but I like photography in general, regardless of the style; I appreciate mainly the idea and the composition.

  

From architecture to photography

 

The main reason for my interest about photography concerns my projects as an architect: I started taking pictures of my buildings (I'm chairman architect of LPzR architetti associati, Milan, Italy) and I wanted they were represented in a professional way, so I had to understand many concepts regarding architectural photography (perspective correction, lens distortion and so on).

 

I'm always trying to compose my pictures on geometrical elements, and this has also reflected into my non architectural photos. I love graphical pictures, based on parallel lines or strong diagonal lines.

Portraiture is a more recent interest: I have a 2 y.o. daughter and a beautiful wife, and they have become my main subjects.

My daughter is the main reason that I bought my Nikon dSLR.

Landscape

 

I can't say I'm a real landscape photographer, but who doesn't love nature? And the ultra wide lens I bought for architecture is really right for landscapes
