My journey began in childhood, fueled by encyclopedias and documentaries that ignited a lasting fascination with biodiversity. Today, this passion drives my work at the intersection of science and art—through photography, specimen collection, and research. Born and based in Uruguay, I pursue these interests across borders, both in the field and through collaborations worldwide.

As a photographer, I specialize in capturing the intricate beauty of nature, from microscopic details to sweeping landscapes. My images, recognized for their technical precision and emotive depth, have been featured in National Geographic, scientific publications, and collaborations with educational institutions. They’re shared regularly on Instagram, Flickr, and Facebook.

My scientific pursuits center on building and studying biological collections. Over decades, I’ve assembled thousands of gastropod specimens, contributing to malacological research. My dedication to this field led to active participation in the Malacological Society of Uruguay, where I served as President. Beyond mollusks, my collections span cacti, succulents, invertebrates (including Cephalopoda and Crustacea), and vertebrate osteology—each reflecting a commitment to preserving and understanding natural diversity.

When not behind the camera or curating specimens, I channel my creativity into graphic design, video editing, and PC modding. I also restore and customize scale model cars, merging precision with artistry.

Travel remains a cornerstone of my work, allowing me to document ecosystems and cultures worldwide. These expeditions continually reshape my perspective, both as a photographer and a student of the natural world.
