I am a student of history at the University of Glasgow.

My main study interests are the Byzantine Empire, Russia and the Orthodox Christian world of eastern Europe.

I also enjoy taking photographs and have resolved to use this flickr profile mainly to document the loyalist culture of Scotland. Their seems to be scarcity of photographs on the internet of processions outside Glasgow and Edinburgh so I am attempting to remedy the situation as much as I can. Although you will see from my photostream that I have not been entirely successful in breaking out of the two cities with my photos.

I am a member of the Orange Order and Apprentice Boys of Derry with the Loyal Sons of Govan Orange Lodge and Laurieston & Southside ABOD club respectively and if anyone would like any information about the fraternities or any other aspect of Scottish loyalist culture feel free to send me a message.
